Join fellow deacons and men in formation for a practical and enriching morning workshop focused on the sacred art of chanting within the Church’s liturgy.
This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to the foundations of liturgical chant and help build confidence in singing the Church’s prayer with reverence, clarity, and beauty. Whether completely new to chant or looking to strengthen existing skills, participants will receive practical instruction that can be immediately applied in parish ministry.
Topics will include:
Basics of chanting at Mass
Chanting in the Divine Office
Introduction to reading chant notation
Singing and vocal techniques for clergy
Chanting the Gospel
Chanting the Exsultet
The workshop will be recorded and made available afterward for those unable to attend in person.
